  17. Configure! is a Control Panel replacement and INI file editor which lets you:
  18.  
  19.       1. access Control Panel applets,
  20.  
  21.       2. modify system settings that Control Panel doesn't and
  22.  
  23.       3. edit the initialization (INI) files that Windows uses to store
  24.          system and application settings.
  25.  
  26. Configure! looks and acts just like the Windows Control Panel application.

  28. More About Configure!
  29. ---------------------
  30. Configure! is a Windows application that provides you with a visual way of
  31. modifying your system while working with Windows.  Each group of settings
  32. that you can change is represented by an icon in the Configure! window.  When
  33. you change a setting, it is stored in an initialization file so that it will
  34. be in effect the next time you run Windows.

  36. Also, by using Configure!'s File menu, you can edit the initialization files
  37. that Windows uses to store system and application settings.  You can edit
  38. these files directly, using the Open command, or indirectly, using the Edit
  39. command.

  41. Note: Configure! is a Microsoft Windows/Windows for Workgroups 3.1x program
  42.       only.  Although it may run on other versions of Windows, it is
  43.       specifically designed for Windows versions 3.1 and 3.1x (e.g. 3.11),
  44.       and Windows for Workgroups versions 3.1 and 3.1x (e.g. 3.11).

  49. 386 Enhanced    - Optimizes Windows for 386 enhanced mode.
  50. Clipboard       - Configures Windows' timing when pasting from the Clipboard.
  51. Color           - Configures the screen colors.
  52. Date/Time       - Sets the date and time, and configures the timer ports.
  53. Desktop         - Configures the look and feel of your desktop.
  54. Disk Drives     - Configures how Windows interacts with your disk drives.
  55. Display         - Configures a CGA display and the display of non-Windows
  56.                   applications.
  57. Drivers         - Installs, removes and configures drivers.
  58. Files           - Specifies program and non-associated document filename
  59.                   extensions.
  60. Fonts           - Adds and removes fonts, and sets TrueType options.
  61. International   - Specifies international settings.
  62. Keyboard        - Configures your keyboard and keystrokes.
  63. Mouse           - Configures your mouse.
  64. Ports           - Specifies communications settings for serial ports.
  65. Printers        - Installs and removes printers, and sets printing options.
  66. Program Manager - Configures Program Manager restrictions.
